A traffic accident that occurred in the coastal town of Mar del Plata has had serious consequences after a 17-year-old driver crashed into four vehicles at high speed. According to local reports, the incident took place on Marítimo Boulevard at 6:30 in the morning.
Several people were injured, some seriously, requiring immediate medical attention. The vehicles involved sustained considerable damage, which will generate significant costs for insurers and owners, while traffic was affected for hours due to the congestion caused by the accident.
Authorities have already begun an investigation to determine the causes of the crash and if there were any traffic violations. The young driver, who was unharmed along with her passenger, tested positive in the breathalyzer test, showing 0.70 grams of alcohol per liter of blood.
After the incident, the driver showed surprise and distress. Her car was confiscated, and she lost her driver's license for up to six months. Apparently, before traffic agents arrived, she left her contact details on a piece of paper in the damaged vehicles whose owners were not present at the scene.
The accident is under investigation and has raised concern both for the injuries suffered by individuals and for the material damage caused. Witnesses claim that the driver attempted to contact emergency services immediately after the crash.
